Jayuro Ghost

Welcome back, fellow humans 🙂

Have you heard about the Jayuro ghosts?

Jayuro Ghost

There is a highway between Goyang and Paju called Jayuro in North of Seoul, South Korea. Jayuro is notoriously known for its creepily heavy and sinister fog leading to fatal car collisions every year. Many drivers have reported seeing Jayuro Ghost, a vanishing hitchhiking woman wearing sunglasses on the side of the highway at night. Upon closer examination, they realise that the woman is not wearing sunglasses. Instead, her eye sockets are gauged out and sunken shadowy pits.

Vanishing woman

The terrified drivers, who see her usually flee immediately and no one knows the truth behind the vanishing hitchhiking woman. However, drivers who picked up the ghost was led to a cemetery or the ghost vanished when the driver reached the stated destination.

Be mindful of the hitchhikers that you pick up, they might be souls of the dead.

Soul of a dead

Thank you for reading, fellow humans 🙂

  1. This give me the chill and goosebumps! I will never drive alone at night especially in that kind of environment.

  2. Utterly terrifying! Supernatural freaks me out so imagine seeing that on a dark night while driving. I shudder to think!

  3. This is actually quite scary! I don’t think I would want to go down that highway. I’ve never picked up a hitchhiker and I never will, nor will I ever go hitchhiking myself – it’s just not worth the risks.

  4. Yikes – this is spoooky. I would totally not pick up a hitchhiker in the first place… it’s too dangerous. Ghosts and spirits fascinate me, though lol

  5. Honestly, I am not a fan of scary things and this story makes me a bit scared and I am sure others will love this.

  6. OMG this sounds so eerie that I would be terrified to even pass through such a place. How scary tone facing such an encounter.

  7. Scary yet interesting read. Highways are dangerous. Not just because there is a dark and people drive so fast but may be you can meet the souls of the dead.

  8. So creepy! I don’t do well with scary things but for some reason love them! Have you ever driven on this highway?

  9. Oh so creepy! This is what funds scary movies for sure! I’ll be sure to steer clear of this area when in Korea. 😬

  10. Now this is something I would be “thrilled” to hear more about! I’ve always been sort of a fan of Asian ghosts and their forms, I’m pretty sure this Jayuro ghost is similar to Japan’s own version of a creepy white lady with long hair. 😀

  11. This made me stop continuing reding 😦 This is my first time hearing about this ghost and it is really scary ;(

  12. I love reading about true ghost stories! Sounds like the beginning of a very interesting plot! it was interesting and intriguing and really enjoyed reading it.
